Hi, I’m Hebe, and I’m so excited to be your Student Union President for 2026–27! I can’t wait to get started and work with you all to make this a fantastic year for our student community. I’ve just graduated from Guildhall as a classical saxophonist, and I love playing all kinds of music, as well as writing and arranging. I came to Guildhall at 20, after completing an Art Foundation and spending a year working a range of jobs, from a farm shop to Tesco (my personal favourite!).

Alongside my studies, I’ve worked as an admin assistant at All Flutes Plus and as a steward at the Lyric Theatre in Hammersmith. Working across such varied environments has given me the opportunity to meet people from all sorts of creative backgrounds, and I’m excited to bring that experience into my role as Student Union President. Outside of music and the SU, I enjoy drawing, swimming and exploring London’s wine bars. Some of my favourite artists are Lizzy McAlpine, Adrianne Lenker and Ryan Beatty.

Hi, I'm Sam and I'm the Vice President of the student's union for the next academic year. I graduated this summer having studied Film Music Composition, although I write a lot of concert music as well. I loved my four years studying at Guildhall and wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye to it, so I’m excited to have this year to make a positive impact in the student body. Outside of Guildhall, I like running and traveling; last year I spent a month backpacking through the Balkans. I’ve had a range of part-time jobs since moving to London, including a leisure centre in High Barnet, a cafe in Regents Park, a Beatles merch store, and an activity bar teaching the boules sport, Pétanque! Because of these experiences, I believe myself to be well suited to work for the student’s union as I have lived the authentic student life! Alongside working for the SU this year, I will also be teaching a course on Film Music with Music Education Islington and volunteering with the LSO on their Create Discover program. I am in Guildhall frequently, so please stop me for a chat whenever you want/need, I’m always happy to talk!
